The Reds celebrated success with 3 fantastic goals courtesy of Jake Goldthorpe, Cavan Bush and Joseph Wigglesworth. The Keencost Kitchens Player Of The Match went to Joel Wainwright who put himself in all the right places throughout.. An awesome game for the whole team. Well done.

BLUES

The Blues were slow off the mark but soon showed their worth. High energy from end to end saw some lovely football and fast runs through. Unfortunately Ossett managed to bag a goal, and despite great effort from the entire team, United just couldn’t grab it back. Liam Hicks earned the honour of Keencost Kitchens Player Of The Match for his tireless performance in defence. Well done Blues for your solid teamwork.

WAKEFIELD UNITED

PONY ST JOE'S

SUNDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER 2007 - HOME

REDS

Despite being under strength due to absence, the Reds put forward a sterling performance. Thomas Render was kept constantly busy throughout the match. Cavan Bush once again gave the game everything he had. Unfortunately, St Joes lead remained too far away, but Joseph Wigglesworth managed to add a cracking goal to United’s scoresheet earning himself the Keencost Kitchens Player Of The Match.

FINAL SCORE – WAKEFIELD UNITED  1 – 7  PONTY ST JOSEPH’S

BLUES

This game seemed more well matched and saw some very energetic football. Jared Leaworthy opened the scoring for the Blues, shortly followed with one for debutant Tommy Wray, who also stole the Keencost Kitchens Player Of The Match. Oliver Windscheffel kept the score down for St Joe’s, while Liam Hicks played a great defensive role. Finally Jared Leaworthy popped a lovely goal in to finish United’s tally.

FINAL SCORE – WAKEFIELD UNITED  3 – 6  PONTY ST JOSEPH’S
