Welcome to the Under 8's Match Report Write Ups for November 2007.
WAKEFIELD UNITED

OSSETT TOWN
SATURDAY 10TH NOVEMBER - HOME
REDS
This game proved to be exciting and constantly end to end. Joseph
Wigglesworth and Joel Wainwright played their socks off, impressing
all with their ball skills. Naomi Briggs bagged a beautiful goal but
the Reds were soon knocked back to a draw. Despite endless attempts on
goal, United couldn’t up the score. A well deserved Keencost Kitchens
Player Of The Match was awarded to Matthew Hatfield, who maintained a
solid wall like presence in defence.
BLUES
United were off to a slow start in this game. Ossett soon managed to
score 2 goals due to reserve goalie inexperience. Half time changes
saw a shake up with maximum team effort from all. Once again on form,
the Blues soon hit the scoresheet thanks to 2 lovely goals from
Keencost Kitchens Player Of The Match Callum Hicks. Regardless of
effort, the home team conceded another 2 goals seeing Ossett through
for the win.

OSSETT ALBION
SUNDAY 18TH NOVEMBER - HOME
BLUES
Despite freezing cold, wet conditions Wakefield United
blues played their hearts out until the final whistle. The first half
saw the majority of play in our half but, despite numerous shots on
goal, strikers Naomi Briggs and Ben Biltcliffe could not hit the back
of the net. A solid defence from Liam Hicks and Kieran Jackson with
Oliver Windscheffel in goal brought the first half score line to 0 –
2.
The second half saw some excellent passing between
William Hunt, Tommy Wray and Callum Hicks and a good run for a
successful shot at goal for Naomi Briggs. Keencost player of the match
went to William Hunt for his gutsy determination through out.
REDS
Goal scorer Joseph Wigglesworth was awarded Keencost
man of the match.
