WAKEFIELD UNITED
SUNDAY 17TH FEBRUARY - AWAY
REDS
Glen juniors came
out fighting from the off but the safe defence of William Hunt and
heroic goalkeeping by Thomas Render kept the opposition at bay.
Wakefield fought hard and some good passing between Tommy Wray and
Ben Biltcliffe gave Matthew Hatfield the opportunity to score a well
deserved goal. Wakefield kept the battling spirit alive with end to
end play and was unlucky to concede a last minute goal by Glen
juniors. Keencost player of the match went to Thomas Render.
BLUES
A hard fought first
half with 2 goals from the opposition early on. Callum Hicks soon
brought Wakefield level with 2 great goals. Despite numerous shots
Cavan Bush in goal kept the score line at 2-2 in the first half. The
second half started well with good midfield play from Jared
Leaworthy, Joseph Wigglesworth and Jake Goldthorpe and a solid
defence by Kieran Jackson and Keencost player of the match Liam
Hicks, but the opposition made the best of the blinding sun in their
favour.
