Welcome to the Under 7's Match Report Write Ups for October 2007.
ALTOFTS JUNIORS

WAKEFIELD UNITED
SATURDAY 13TH
OCTOBER
2007 – AWAY
REDS
Wakefield
United played well for their first game of the season. Altofts
scored early on and kept on scoring but Wakefield kept their heads
up and played with great enthusiasm. As the defense settled in,
the Carcraft Player
Of The Match James Hardwick executed a number of great
tackles and kept the pressure on Altofts attackers.
BLUES
The second game
saw a great work rate from William Skidmore which helped Wakefield
gain more possesion in the oppossion half. Good positional play
from Altofts coupled with Wakefield's lack of match experience
meant that Altofts took more of their chances on goal. This lead
to some outstanding saves from our second Carcraft
Player Of The Match Jay Mullinder.
Overall, it was great to see the team out on the pitch giving it
their all. We all look forward to their first home match next
Sunday where we should be able to build on this promising start.

ROTHWELL JUNIORS
SUNDAY 21ST OCTOBER 2007 - HOME
The first half saw a lot of the play
in Wakefields half but Wakefield worked hard and their movement
around the pitch progressed throughout
the game. Determination, good tackling and plenty of energy
from start to finish meant that William Skidmore banked another
impressive performance as well as the
Carcraft Player of the Match. Centre
back Ellis Whitwell and goalkeeper Jay Mullinder combined to make
a great partnership putting pressure on every Rothwell attack.
During the second half Wakefield stretched Rothwell a little more
which Rothwell took in their stride. Although behind, Wakefield
kept their heads up and played positively, always looking to play
the ball forward to start an attack. Another valiant effort from Wakefield
United's Under 7's team!
