WAKEFIELD UNITED

HALL GREEN
SUNDAY 25TH NOVEMBER 2007 - HOME
REDS
It
was a positive start from Wakefield United by gaining plenty of
possession and pushing up the pitch at every opportunity. Hall
green had to work hard for every goal with the first half
finishing 2 - 0. The second half however brought more goals
for Hall Green as they settled in to the
game. Wakefield's midfielders worked tirelessly to get back in
the game but couldn't seem to find the pass from midfield to the
strikers. Our defence are starting to work well as a team,
communicating and moving up and down the field with play. For
good decision making, great blocking and tactical marking the
Carcraft Man of the Match goes to Ellis Whitwell who if it
wasn't for an unfortunate ball would have enjoyed a full game on
the field! Ouch!
BLUES
It looked like Wakefield were going to bag their first goal
having had the majority of possession but Hall green were quick
on the break and bagged their first goal, quickly following it
up with another. Again the half finished 2 - 0 to Hall green. In
the second half the opposition enjoyed too much time on the ball
in dangerous areas allowing them to secure their victory with a
third goal. Cory Welbourne and Callum Moore pressured their
defence and goal keeper creating opportunities but lacked the
end product. Carcraft Man of the Match went to Aiden Watson with
a consistent and focussed performance for a second week.
