TINGLEY TIGERS

WAKEFIELD UNITED
SUNDAY 10TH
FEBRUARY 2008 – AWAY
Having turned up
with only five players Wakefield borrowed a keeper and a
defender from Tingley and kicked off. Wakefield kept Tingley
Tigers at bay with some great tackling and applying constant
pressure but failed to push past the half way line. The half
ended 4 – 0. After some changes to the team most notably
swapping the goalkeeper for a couple of strikers and Cory
Welbourne steppeng back in net for Wakefield we got the second
half underway. Wakefield moved the ball around a lot more
looking to go forward and putting the Tingley defense under more
pressure. This resulted in Wakefield forcing a couple of corners
and creating a few opportunities. Ellis Whitwell worked well in
defense taking a break from goalkeeping and Carcraft players of
the match went to Megan Hicks and Lucas Wood for commitment and
effort through out the game and always looking to break forward.
