John Daly - Manager
As they stood
upon the stage in their stripes of red and white, being presented with
their trophies they made a wondrous sight. Each and every one of them
had played with all their might, in rain and snow and biting wind they
fought hard and won the fight.
Following them
to away matches and getting lost upon the way, having frost bite in
our hands and feet every cold Sunday, but when they scored those
winning goals the sky didn’t look so grey, and when they lifted up
that shield it certainly made my day.
Having our
brollies down inside out as we sheltered from the rain, squelching
through those muddied up fields or going up the wrong lane, but when I
saw our lads on stage our suffering hadn’t been in vain, I’m really
looking forward to when the season starts again.
