Welcome to the Under 13's Match Report Write Ups for February 2008.
WAKEFIELD UNITED

SHELF
SUNDAY 3RD
FEBRUARY 2008 – HOME
A much improved performance by Wakefield Utd ended in
disappointment, losing out to table toppers Shelf. Very windy
conditions in the first half caused Wakefield problems as Shelf
scored two goals. In the second half, Wakefield conceded two high
quality goals before Adam Oesterlein replied with a great strike.
Overall, Wakefield played a great game. Arrow Self Drive Player Of
The Match will be awarded on Wednesday. Last weeks Player Of The
Match was selected by the players, it went to William Booth for an
excellent performance in left back.

WAKEFIELD UNITED
SUNDAY 10TH
FEBRUARY – AWAY
After conceding an early goal, Wakefield provided an
exhibition of passing football to overwhelm the home side.
Hat-tricks from Ollie Vine and William Oesterlein and no fewer than
7 from Adam Oesterlein gave the visitors a much needed win. The
goalkeeper and defence provided a solid platform which gave the
attacking players free rein to express themselves. Ollie Vine had
his best game of the season, but Adam Oesterlein won the Arrow
Self-Drive Player of the Match for a clinical performance in front
of goal.

WAKEFIELD UNITED

MARSDEN
SUNDAY 24TH
FEBRUARY – HOME
A great performance by both teams involved resulted in a half time
dead lock at 3-3. Marsden fielded an understrength side but showed
tremendous character. Goals from William Oesterlein (2) and Harry
Lloyd-Anderson for Wakefield United did not undermine the visitors
determination as Marsden repeatedly came back at United. A
controversial handball on the line gave the visitors a last gasp
penalty that was put away to equalise the score at the break. The
second half was a more one sided affair. Some fantastic football
was played by United who scored 5 without reply, scorers were Adam
Oesterlein, Luke Reeves and Oliver Vine (2) and another from William
Oestelein tp complete his hat trick. The Arrow self drive player of
the match went to Jordan Firth for a brilliant mid field show.
