SUNDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER
2007 – AWAY
Things set off well in the first game for Wakefield
United in the new season in the Huddersfield League, with plenty
of attacking play keeping Hepworth C in their own half for much of
the first half. Shots coming from Jack Alton, Dion Ledger and
Cameron Gollings all were stopped by some outstanding goal keeping
from Hepworth. Pressure from Cameron Gollings saw Hepworth concede
2 own goals. The first half finished 2 up to Wakefied.The second
half saw more attacking play coming from Hepworth which saw
Wakefield conceding an own goal. Wakefield answered back with goal
attempts coming from George Crowcorft, Luke Asquith and Elliot
Brown. The match finished 2 – 1 to Wakefield. The AML player of
the match went to Cameron Gollings.

WAKEFIELD UNITED

HADE HEDGE
SATURDAY 22ND SEPTEMBER 2007 - HOME
Wakefield United easily
saw off Hade Hedge in this Huddersfield league goal frenzy match. Jack
Alton set things off with a header flying in past the keeper.
Wakefield kept up the pressure and Dion Gibson got a hat-trick, George
Crowcroft two goals and Cameron Gollings finished things off to end
the 1st half 7 – 0 to Wakefield.
The 2nd half
was much the same with Wakefield soon taking control of things with
George Crowcroft scoring to get a hat-trick, with Wakefield on the
attack Hade Hedge scored an own goal. Wakefields defence of Joe Holman
& Liam Gaffney kept Hade Hedge well away from goal with Luke Asquith
not having to make any saves. More goals came from Cameron Gollings
earning himself a hat-trick. Elliot Brown and George Crowcorft both
scored ending the match 13 – 0 to Wakefield. The AML player of the
match went to Jack Alton.

WAKEFIELD UNITED
SUNDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER 2007 - AWAY
After Wakefields recent
wins in the Huddersfield League it was decided that the team would
move up to a harder group. Things could not have got any better for
Wakefield with George Crowcroft getting the opener. With Wakefield
passing the ball around Dion Gibson scored next. Batley answered and
grabbed a goal. Wakefield fought back and with passing from Jack
Alton, Cameron Gollings and Luke Asquith saw George Crowcroft hitting
the back of the net twice more to earn him a hat-trick, which ended
the 1st half 4 – 1 to Wakefield.
The 2nd half
saw Batley score early on but Wakefield answered back with Cameron
Gollings blasting one past the keeper. Wakefields defence came under
pressure but the cool head of Liam Gaffney kept the danger at bay.
Next to score for Wakefield was Leyton Davies who put one in just
above the keeper, in the last minute of play Jack Alton grabbed a well
deserved goal. The AML player of the match went to George Crowcroft.
