Townville Juniors

Follow the A642 Aberford Road out of Wakefield towards Stanley, passing Pinderfields Hospital on your left.  Continue on the A642 passing St. Peter's Church on your left, and the Thatched House Pub on your right.   Eventually you will come to a roundabout - take the 3^rd exit at the roundabout signposted Hull/Pontefract M62.

Leave the M62 at junction 32 and get into the second lane on the slip road, signposted Castleford (A656).  Go straight through the traffic lights and you will pass the Singing Cocker pub and Gala bingo on your left.  Stay on this road and you will eventually come to a roundabout where you need to take the 2^nd exit signposted Ferrybridge B6136.  After some time you will pass the New Airedale pub on your left.  A little while after the pub you will see a School crossing sign and a telephone box in front of you.  Turn left at the telephone box into Poplar Avenue.  After a few metres you will see Townville Recreation and Sports Club on your right.  Turn into the car park and make your way to the far end and the pitches can be reached by the narrow path running along the right hand side of the building with the Sport England logo.
