South Heindley

Leave Wakefield on the A638 Doncaster Road heading towards Nostell.  You will pass the Cock & Crown pub on your right.  Keep on this road until you pass over a hump back bridge over a river.  Just after the bridge there is a sharp bend.  Take the next turning right signposted Hemsworth.  Take your next right signposted Ryhill and South Hiendley.  Stay on this road into Ryhill until you reach a staggered crossroads (ie. at first glance it appears to be a T-junction).  Go straight over at the crossroads.  Stay on this road into South Hiendley village.  You will pass a school, a shop on your left and the Fox pub.  You will then pass the Sun Inn which is on your left on a sharp bend, opposite a derelict pub called the Bay Horse.  South Hiendley’s pitches are located on the playing fields at the rear of the Bay Horse.
