 Methley Junior School

Follow the A642 Aberford Road out of Wakefield towards Stanley, passing Pinderfields Hospital on your left.  After the British Oak Pub on a sharp right-hand bend you will head downhill.  At the bottom of the hill there is a right hand turning onto Ferry Lane.  Don’t take this turning, but continue on the A642 passing St. Peter's Church on your left, and the Thatched House Pub on your right.   Continue on this road passing the Spindle Tree Pub on your left and the end of Bottom Boat Road on your right.  Ignore the next right-hand turning which is Moorhouse Grove with a shop at the end of it.  You now need to pick up the right-hand lane where the dual carriageway starts, as you'll be taking the next right signposted Methley (B6135) known as (Newmarket Lane).  This turning is before you reach the roundabout ahead.

Now follow the B6135 until you pass under the motorway bridge and reach the        T-junction at the very end of it.  You will now have reached the main A639 Leeds/Castleford Road and here you need to turn left towards Leeds.  Following the A639 towards Leeds you will come to a sharp left-hand bend with a church on your left and Methley C of E School on your right.  Once you have passed both of these you need to prepare to take your next right onto Church Lane.  This will bring you towards Mickletown, and Church Lane now becomes Savile Road.  Continue along Savile Road until you reach the T-junction at the end of it.  Upon reaching the junction with Pinifold Lane look to your right and you will see Methley Junior School. which is where our matches will be played.  You can park in the school car park; the pitches are at the rear of the school.
