From Wakefield take the A638 (Doncaster Road), pass through Crofton, Nostell Priory, Ackworth, continue on A638 towards Doncaster, at the next roundabout take the third exit onto the B6474, you will come to a cross roads with traffic lights (and you will be facing the Barnsley Oak Pub).  Go straight over at the cross roads (follow road for about one mile, passing the Park Pub), at the junction at the end of the road turn right, down the hill passing over a railway bridge.  At the junction (you will be facing the Chequers Pub) turn right and then immediately left on to Westfield Lane.  You will pass by a Working Mens Club - The Pretoria, the football pitch is about 100 yards passed the Pretoria on the same side of the road.  The Carlton Football ground, Westfield Lane, South Elmsall.
