Askern Town

Follow the A642 Aberford Road out of Wakefield towards Stanley, passing Pinderfields Hospital on your left.  After the British Oak Pub on a sharp right-hand bend you will head downhill.  At the bottom of the hill there is a right hand turning onto Ferry Lane.  Don’t take this turning, but continue on the A642 passing St. Peter's Church on your left, and the Thatched House Pub on your right.   Eventually you will come to a roundabout - take the 3^rd exit at the roundabout signposted Hull/Pontefract M62.

Leave the M62 at junction 34 and follow the signs for Doncaster/Askern A19.  Stay on this road for approx. 5 miles passing over a level crossing, and eventually you will come to a set of traffic lights.  Turn left at the lights and after approx. 300 yards you will see another level crossing in front of you.  Do not go over the level crossing, but turn right immediately before it, passing alongside a house.  When you arrive at the back of the house you need to drive diagonally across the car park and you will see a dirt track.  Follow this track taking care as there are some potholes!  At the end of the track you will come to a large grassed area where you can park your car.  The pitches are located beyond the Portakabins in front of you.
